Abundance Unlimited !

If you find yourself habitually residing in a feeling of lack, it may be due to a core belief formed in your childhood or even in a past life.
Or it may be because you are out of touch with your inner divinity, which is the source of your abundance.
In either case, know that your perception of lack is a mis-perception that can be corrected with awareness and effort. It can be as simple as taking 10 minutes each day to close your eyes, quiet your mind and imagine yourself in a state of unlimited abundance, handling the financial demands in your life with total ease, drawing from an endless supply of resources.
Once you open your eyes, take some concrete action to make your intention real...walk in the direction of your dreams.
As I often like to remind people, put your action where your intention is!
Know that it is your birthright to be fully supported in the fulfillment of your needs and desires.
The Universe supports you always and all ways!

A precious teacher

All of us have days from time to time when it feels like the world is against us or that the chaos we are experiencing will never end. On such days, one negative circumstance leads to another. On such a day, you may wonder whether anything in your life will ever go right again.

However, if you expand your awareness, a bad day, like any other day, can be a gift.
Having a bad day can show you that it is time to slow down, change course, or lighten up. A bad day can help you to learn wisdom you might otherwise have overlooked or discounted.
Bad days can certainly cause you to experience uncomfortable feelings you would prefer to avoid, yet a bad day may also give you a potent means to learn about yourself.

Bad days can only have a long-term negative effect on us if we let them. It is far better to ask yourself what you can learn from these kinds of days.

Bad days contribute to the people we become. Though we may feel discouraged and distressed on our bad days, a bad day can teach us patience and perseverance. It is important to remember that your attitude drives your destiny and that one negative experience does not have to be the beginning of an ongoing stroke of bad luck.

A bad day comes as a teacher because it is one day among many good days – otherwise, we wouldn’t even bother to acknowledge it as a bad day. Know too, that everybody has bad days, you are not alone, and the world is not against you. Tomorrow is guaranteed to be a brighter day.

On a bad day, remember ‘This too shall pass away’…and do your best to learn what you can from this precious teacher.

Knowing yourself; Loving yourself

We have heard it often enough - We are not human beings having spiritual experiences; instead, we are spiritual beings having human experiences.

We hear this yet we do not take the time to really acknowledge the truth of these statements. Integrating this idea into how we see ourselves can expand our sense of who we are and help us appreciate ourselves as brave spirits on an important mission to learn and grow here on earth.

Remembering who we are can give us the patience to persevere when we become overwhelmed or frustrated. It can give us the courage to work through the most daunting challenges and help us trust the ancient wisdom we carry within us.

We have chosen to be on earth because there is something we want to learn that can only happen by inhabiting a body. Some of us are here to help others, repay a debt, learn about love, or teach forgiveness. Most of us are here for a combination of reasons, and we carry this information deep in our souls; all we have to do is remember.

So as you go through your journey, today and everyday, try not to forget how brave you are, being here now.
Honour yourself. Love yourself for who you are – a spiritual being here on a temporary physical journey.

An Ancient Secret of Happiness Revealed

I was fortunate to receive one of the most ancient secrets that will keep you happy every day for all your years. Here it is. Use it and change your life

The ancient secret of happiness is simple, and effective - Count your blessings everyday and be grateful for all that you already have whether it be a home, car, savings, your family, or a partner with a shoulder you can lean on during rough times.

I want you to remember that you are already wealthy in so many ways and you may not even know it. People all around the world would be envious to be in your shoes.

Counting your blessings everyday works. I vouch for its effectiveness, as do all my teachers.

I encourage you to share this blog with anyone else you think needs a helping hand through unhappiness or chaos of any kind. Pay it forward.

The Eagle, our teacher

During a 2 hour walk through the MacRitchie Reservoir today, I happened to spot a majestic eagle soaring high in the open sky as it surveyed everything beneath with an eye of mastery. Made me realise just how enlightened a being the Eagle is.

Eagles have evolved to soar high above the earth, giving them a perspective that is unavailable to any other creature.

From their great height, riding on the wind and sunlight, they see the bigger picture and constantly remind us that there is a bigger reality to our lives. When we get bogged down with the details and routine of daily life, eagles help us to remember that we are part of a larger plan, have a larger purpose to fulfil, and that everything fits together beautifully and perfectly.

Once you can develop the eagle’s expanded perspective you too can become a visionary able to focus on the exact spot that truly needs your attention in the moment. With their amazing focus, eagles teach us to follow our personal vision. Additionally, the eagle’s ability to live on land but visit the sky at will is a good reminder for us all. This unique quality of the eagle reminds us that their strength and survival comes from connecting regularly with the spirit within and bringing the guidance received from the inner self into earthly affairs.

As the eagle soars amongst the heavenly bodies of the sun, the stars, and the wind that moves the clouds, it reminds us to always consider the larger picture, one that inspires us to move through the world we inhabit with strength, certainty, and grace.

Whenever you see the eagle next, know that you have a lot to learn from this great master.

Shine Your Light

Each of us is born into this world with unique gifts.
Within us is a light that can potentially make the world a more beautiful place. But in many, that light lies dormant, snuffed out by fears and feelings of in-adequacy.

It is important to understand that when we undermine the light by hiding our strengths and skills, and quashing our dreams, we deny ourselves and others a wealth of evolutionary experiences. Your abilities are a part of who you are and when you take pride in them, you express the light within.

When you dare to share your light with the world, the beauty and perfection of your soul becomes visible. You become a whole being, created by the unleashing effect of your vast potential. Whether you are a wonderful orator, a first-rate dancer, quick with numbers, or a natural leader, you’ll come to understand that you do yourself injustice, and the world no favours when you hold yourself back.

You were meant to shine your light. You are designed by Nature and billions of years of evolution to be excellent. If you have hidden your light for so long that it has shrunk to an ember, make a list of everything you do well. Then ask yourself how you can positively contribute with those abilities in your daily life.

The gifts you were born with are meant to have a purpose. They are meant to be shared. While you may never know what impact your light has had on others, you can be sure that when you accept your talents and share them fully with others, you will spread more light in the world.

Use Obstacles as Stepping Stones

There are only two ways to look at the world: the responsive/positive way or the reactive/negative way.

People with a negative mindset choose a victim stance, seeing life as a continuous succession of problems and a process of unfairness and oppression. They don't expect a lot and they don't get much. When things go wrong, they shrug their shoulders and passively accept that this is the way life is and there isn't anything they can do to make it better. They complain, crib and whinge throughout life that things are wrong but never take personal responsibility to make things as they want them to be. They talk their talk.
These are the eternal re-actors.

On the other hand, people with a positive mindset see the world around them as filled with opportunities and possibilities. They believe that everything happens as part of a great process designed to make them successful and happy. They approach their lives, their work, and their relationships with optimism, cheerfulness, and a general attitude of positive expectations. They expect a lot and they are seldom disappointed. If things don't turn out as they want them to, they take personal responsibility for changing them and put their actions where their mouth is. They walk their talk.
These are the eternal creators.

One world, 2 different perspectives. Thus 2 different realities.

Which one do you choose?

The Sun always shines !

There are times when negativity, nay-sayers or unexpected events cause us to momentarily lose sight of the light of our dreams and goals. It is at these times that remembering the sun can help us.

The sun always shines; even when it seems that it doesn’t. If a dark cloud obscures the light and warmth of the sun you can be sure that it will soon pass, and the light will shine through once again.

It’s good to remember that despite external appearances the sun is shining always, even right now as I sit on my desk at night writing this to you. We may not be able to see it at this very moment, but it is there and it’s shining bright. And it’s only a matter of time before it will shine on us again.

The sun has been seen as a symbol of true wisdom, from ancient times to modern myth. By its example it teaches us that even if life feels like it is at a standstill, sometimes all we need to do is be patient and wait for the time when things are better again.

We can also choose to follow the way of the sun and continue doing our work and shining our light, even when we can’t immediately see positive results. In doing so we exercise our patience, making sure we are prepared when opportunity knocks and all other elements are in their right and perfect places.

The sun also reminds us that our own shining truth is never extinguished. Our light shines within us at all times, no matter what else occurs around us. This is why I chose the sun as the symbol of SoulKids, our life-skills program for children which is changing so many children in Singapore and all over the world.

SoulKids encourages every child to shine his/her light as brightly as they can regardless of external circumstances. To live with a strong sense of self-belief and to have your happiness and success in your own hands – what greater training can you receive? This is the gift of SoulKids.

So whether you are a child or an adult, remember the sun today and shine your own light

Always keep an open mind

A lot of people feel threatened if they feel they are being asked to question their cherished beliefs or their perception of reality. Yet questioning is what keeps our minds supple and strong.
Simply settling on one way of seeing things and refusing to be open to other possibilities makes the mind rigid.

Being open-minded means that we are willing to question everything, including those things we take for granted. A willingness to question everything, even things we are sure we are right about, can reinvigorate our minds, opening us up to understanding that was alien to us before. This alone is good reason to remain inquisitive, no matter how much experience we have or how old we get.

In the personal growth arena, this willingness to question is known as beginner’s mind, and it has a way of generating possibilities we couldn’t have seen from the point of view of knowing something with certainty. The willingness to question everything doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t believe in anything at all, and it doesn’t mean we have to question every single thing in the world every minute of the day. It just means that we are humble enough to acknowledge how little we actually know about life.

Nearly every positive change in the history of human progress came about because someone questioned some time-honoured belief and in doing so revealed a new truth, a new way of doing things. A commitment to staying open in our own individual lives can lead us to new personal revolutions and truths.

As I often state, only an open mind is a young mind, and will continue to grow up; a closed mind is only growing old, not growing up!

May you always live inspired,

Choosing your daily experience

Most people, as they wake, don’t look forward to the day ahead.
Because of the natural human tendency to focus on what we fear or dislike, it is easy to unconsciously send a message of unease into the day ahead. This negatively impacts what manifests.

While our lives are busy with challenges, there are also rich experiences worth savouring. We can attract this natural joy into our lives by starting each day with a message of love.
When you send love ahead to your day as it begins, that love will manifest itself in your personal interactions and your professional endeavours. You will find yourself approaching life’s uncertainties with great affection and confidence.

Each morning, just as you wake up, take several deep, grounding breaths and reaffirm the love you have for yourself. Speak a message of love to yourself and to life itself. Let this be the first action you take. Before you leave the comfortable warmth of your bed, be sure to tell the universe that you are eager and ready to receive the blessings it has set aside for you. Then as you prepare to meet the day, visualize yourself first saturated by and then surrounded with a warm and soft loving light.
Gradually widen the circle of this light until you are able to send it ahead into your future. Sending love ahead to everyone you will meet and everything you will do can ensure that your day is suffused with grace.

Each morning, in sending this love, you will exercise your power to control your existence and to paint the days with colours of your choice

With love and light,

Essential Life Lessons

Everything you have attracted into your life right now is precisely what you need to grow and expand.

Think about a situation in your life that is negative or not exactly what you desire. Describe how this situation makes you feel. Ask yourself, how can I use this situation to help me learn and grow? What insights can you learn about yourself from this situation?

Everything that comes to you is a tool to help you reach to the next level.
Think about it . . . you have situations in your life that are personal just to you and specific for your growth. Your friends, family members and co-workers do not have the same situations and circumstances in their lives. Only we have them - almost as if the Universe custom-made them specially for us, for our evolution.

We attract what we need in our lives, and that includes everything that manifests, both positive and negative - its all essential life lessons.
If you start looking at all situations, whether positive or negative, as a blessing and an opportunity for growth, you grow with everything, all the time.

Answers and guidance will then come to you instead of resisting what is happening in your life. You will then expand, not contact. You will evolve to your higher self.

Commitment = Rejecting Rejection

Here is a very important question - Are you fully committed to your goals?

It is only when you are committed fully that the universe supports you 100%. Most people decide what they want and then when one little thing gets in the way, they give up. That's not commitment; that's fantasizing.

Commitment is absolutely 100% totally essential in achieving whatever it is you desire.

Webster's dictionary defines commitment "To devote oneself unreservedly".
It means you give 100% to whatever it is that you want in your life. The people that have had the greatest success achieved what they have because they were fully committed.

Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen created the #1 best-selling book series, Chicken Soup for the Soul after being rejected by publishers 144 times. Jonathan Livingston Seagull became an inspirational classic after numerous rejections. Ray Charles, the musician, was told by his teachers that he couldn't play the piano. Harry Potter wouldn't have seen the light of day had J K Rowling listened to her rejections.

What all of these people had in common was they stayed true to their intention, were committed, and took action toward their dreams. They never gave up; they rejected rejection and kept on going till they had it right.

What is your commitment quotient?

How to FLOW

I am often asked what it means to 'Go with the flow?'
Going with the Flow means being flexible and adapting quickly and easily to each situation as it presents itself.
It means resisting nothing, but accepting whatever comes, observing the options that are available, and responding in the best, most positive way you can.

Sometimes we get stuck on something - a thought, an event or an experience; we need to have things exactly our way, or the way we think they "should" be. This is not going with the flow of life - it is resisting life and will inevitably cause pain and suffering, also called unhappiness and misery.

To go with the flow, observe what is happening in your life and trust that "what is" is happening to serve you in some way. Fully embrace what happens.

Only when you go against the flow is when you experience resistance and you are fighting the Universal plan. The Universal energy is so much greater than you and always exists in harmony; it can see your life from a bird's eye view. So learn to trust it and even when it seems that things are going wrong, believe that they are not.

Everything is good for you when you open yourself to growing from it.
Remember that we go against the Universe, or the timing of the Universe, it creates struggle every time.

I invite you to go with the flow.

You are Perfect !

I just wanted to remind you that you are perfect, whole and complete just as you are in this moment.
Nothing on this planet can add to you, or take away from you. You are exactly where you need to be in this moment.

Our ego is continuously try to tell us that this moment is not OK, trying to create a scenario in our minds to tell us that the next moment will be better than this one. This is a lie. The ego wants us focused on the past or the future because that way it has control. It likes to make up or create stories to keep you out of the present.

This moment is as it is and it is perfect.
And so are you!

Focus on the Positive

Everything in the universe is made of energy. What differentiates one form of energy from another is the speed at which it vibrates. For example, light vibrates at a very high frequency, and something like a rock vibrates at a lower frequency.

Human beings also vibrate at different frequencies. Our thoughts and feelings determine the frequency at which we vibrate, and our vibration goes out into the world and attracts to us energy moving at a similar frequency. This is one of the ways that we create our own reality.

This is also why we can cause a positive shift in our lives by raising our vibration. We all know someone we think of as vibrant. Vibrant literally means “vibrating very rapidly.” The people who strike us as vibrant are vibrating at a high frequency, and they can inspire us as we work to raise our vibration.
On the other hand, we all know people that are very negative or cynical. These people are vibrating at a lower frequency. They can also be an inspiration because they can show us what we don’t want to become.

To discover where you are in terms of vibration, examine where you fall on a scale between the most pessimistic person you know and the most vibrant/positive. It is important to know where you are now so that you can choose what you want to become.

There are many ways to raise your vibration such as meditation, reiki, working with affirmations, reading inspirational material, and associating with enlightened people.
One powerful way to raise your vibration is to consciously choose where you focus your attention.
To see how powerful this is, take just 3 minutes to describe something you love - a person, a movie or an experience. When your 3 minutes are up, you will definitely feel more positive and lighter. Congratulations, you have just raised your vibration successfully.

How you are feeling is always the best indicator of how you are vibrating. If you want to keep raising your vibration, commit to spending five minutes every day focusing on the good in your life. As you do this, you will train yourself to be more awake and alive. Over time, you will experience a permanent shift in your vibrancy. You will become a totally different person. Guaranteed!

The greatest power

Feelings exist because of what we are thinking in our minds. If you find yourself feeling dis-empowered, check in with your thoughts and ask yourself, "Are the thoughts that I am thinking empowering or dis-empowering?"
When you are allow yourself to feel dis-empowered by your feelings, you create negative experiences in your life.

If you change your thoughts, you change your feelings. If your feelings change, your actions will too. And if your actions change, then the results change.
To change your external results, change your inner thoughts. Or in the words of the enlightened master called Buddha,” As you think, so you become.”

Thoughts lead to feelings. Feelings lead to actions. And actions lead to results.
Change your thoughts and you change your reality!
This is the greatest power you have. It really is that simple.

Be like Water

Water is a great teacher that shows us how to move through the world with grace, ease, determination, and humility.

The journey of water as it flows can be a mirror of our own paths through life. Water begins its life on earth as it falls from the sky or melts from ice and streams down a mountain into a tributary or stream.
In the same way, we come into the world and begin our lives on earth. Like a river that flows within the confines of its banks, we are born with certain defining characteristics that govern our identity. We are born in a specific time and place, within a specific family, and with certain gifts and challenges. Within these parameters, we move through life, encountering many twists, turns, and obstacles along the way just as a river flows.

Water inspires us to not become rigid with fear or cling to what’s familiar. Water is brave and does not waste time clinging to its past, but flows always forward without looking back.

At the same time, when there is a hole to be filled, water does not run away from it in fear of the dark; instead, water humbly and bravely fills the empty space. In the same way, we can face the dark moments of our life rather than run away from them. When a river breaks at a waterfall, it gains energy and moves on; as we encounter our own waterfalls (crisis), we may fall hard but we always keep moving on.

Eventually, a river will merge into the ocean. Water teaches us not to hold back from joining with a larger body; not to fear a loss of identity or control. It gracefully and humbly tumbles into the vastness by contributing its energy and merging without resistance. In its surrender, it gives up being a river and becomes the ocean. Each time we move beyond our individual egos to become part of something bigger, we too are emulating the surrender of the river.
Live like water, and you would have lived a life of mastery.

Enlightenment Mantras # 6

The Art of Evolution

Have you ever thought of how we grow? Do you worry about making mistakes before you undertake a new step/venture/effort?

Please consider the astronaut. If you are an astronaut, driving a rocket to the moon, you spend ninety percent of your time off course.
You get off track, you correct. You get off course, and again you correct - and eventually you hit your target.
If you quit moving forward, and constantly correcting, you miss the moon!

As in outer space ... so in innerspace!
To build a successful personal-growth practice, you have to keep taking action and keep correcting.
You take action, monitor your feedback - and continually correct. Eventually you succeed.

It's the same with any project and any relationship in your external world also. You get off track. You make adjustments.

Success doesn't travel in straight lines.
Mistakes are how we evolve.

Enlightenment Mantras # 5

Just for Today....
This is the way the Enlightened Masters tell us to live - Just for today.
Make your investments for the future, but remember to enjoy what you have today. Think and plan ahead, but live fully today. Have a great vision, but take action today. Because today is all you have.
When tomorrow comes, its today again. So if you've missed today, you've missed life itself.
One day at a time - this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone: and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come.
Live in the present, and no matter what it brings, make it the best that you can. So if tomorrow never comes, you are happy anyway.
Today is the greatest treasure. Today is all there is....do not waste it.

Worry is our own creation

We have all had the experience of worrying about something or someone at some point in our lives. Some of us seem to have a habitual tendency to worry, and almost all of us have known someone who is a chronic worrier.

Please understand this truth - in order for worry to exist, we have to imagine that something bad might happen. What we are worrying about has not happened yet, that’s why we can worry about it, and so this negative thing is by definition a fantasy. Seen this way, worry is a self-created state of needless fear.

One reason we worry is because we feel like we’re not in control. However, worrying does nothing to ensure a positive outcome and it has an unpleasant effect on your body, mind, and spirit.
The good news is that there are ways to transform this kind of worry so that it has a healing effect. Just as worry uses the imagination, so does the antidote to worry. Next time you find that you are worrying, imagine the best result instead of anticipating the worst outcome.

Another reason we worry is that something that we know is pending but are avoiding is nagging us—such as an unpleasant break-up, an upcoming test, a problem with a friend, or a family member. In these cases, acknowledge that you are worried and then take action for that is the best solution.
If you can confront the situation and utilize your power to change it, you’ll have no reason to worry.

Remember the instructions of the wise Dr Usui, "Just for today, do not worry".
I suggest you see all things in a positive light, do the best you can in any situation and leave the rest in the hands of the Universe.
Enough said.

Take advantage of me

I have learned the importance of looking back at the cold hard reality of any venture, business or quest. Hindsight is helpful to gain insight so you can have accurate foresight.
Many times inexperienced people will take a risk and jump into something totally new and unknown with nothing more than a hope or a wish for success. I too have done this in my life before, which is where I experienced several failures and learned lessons the hard way.
While it is very valuable to learn lessons first hand there is a better way to live and learn and that is to learn from successful people who have already been there, done it and are still doing it. This can save years of struggle and hardship.
It is said that an intelligent man learns from his own mistakes but the wise man learns from the mistakes of others.
For example when I decided to write my first book I sought out and studied mentors who were best selling authors and learned from them. You see, you can compress time by learning from people who have already done what you want to do and have what you want to have.
This is also the reason why I went in search of enlightened beings, eventually found them and learnt from them about the path to my own awakening.
This is also the reason why I now guide people to the truth within them, in as many ways as I can.
Be wise…..Take advantage of me.
