Meditation - the only technology for happiness!

How do we create our own happiness regardless of what unfolds in our external life?

You will ask this question when you come to the great realization that the external world is by definition, beyond our total control. From ancient times, the enlightened masters have given only one answer - Meditation.

Meditation is the practice of being fully present to life NOW. It means staying awake moment to moment: To be fully available to every moment. To slow down the pace of activity and be mind-full of the moment at hand. To choose life deliberately.

Creating this mindset is the first step toward creating your own happiness, becoming stress free and living a life of freedom. The more aware you become, the greater your control over your life and happiness grows, and vice-versa.
Here are a few simple but practical ways to create your happiness from the inside out, as prescribed by the ancient meditation masters!

1. Accept Responsibility of your Life Experience and Everything in it
Whatever you experience in your life i.e., whatever happens in your life, and the way you feel and react towards it, is a direct expression of who you are. At the deepest level, everything occurring in your life-experience is the result of your own desires, choices, actions and reactions.

Therefore, accept full responsibility, and therefore control of your own life. Control both of what your life is now and what you want it to be. Resolve that just for today you will not get angry, not worry, and will remember to count your blessings, no matter what life brings.

2. Release all Resentments and Blame
If you truly accept responsibility for your life, you spontaneously release all blame and resentments. It’s important for you to see that holding onto some hurt or hatred over what others may have done in the past, makes you their slave in the ‘here and now.’

3. Stop being The Judge
The easiest and most unconscious thing to do is to walk around judging every moment, event and person who comes into your life experience.
Remember that even when you judge, you do so from your own level of Awareness, and if you want to raise that, you must turn your attention to yourself, inwards, not outwards towards others.

4. Lighten Up
The heart feels heavy when every thought and emotion is taken seriously, as a permanent reality. Remember that your true nature is neither thought nor emotion, rather a pure, free and light spirit. Look at every moment of life through its eyes.
Happiness is impossible if you take everything seriously!

5. Follow Your Passions
Put what you love first, above all. The rest of your life will take care of itself once you do this because love always finds a way. Love never considers fear. And with love as your guiding light, your success in life is assured because even in work, you will have tremendous interest and enjoyment.
