My Experience as a SoulKids Mentor

My story starts with a Facebook post where Sally wanted to hire a part-time employee for SoulCentre. At the time I had never heard about SoulKids®, but I was looking for a job and I sent Sally an email.  Taking this action changed my life.

I joined a team of wonderful people who encouraged and supported me from the first moment on.

When the opportunity to attend the SoulKids Mentor Training came up and Sally offered it to me, I was very happy and absolutely sure that it would be an amazing experience.

Nothing could prepare me for what the course really delivered. Vikas Malkani is the wisest person I know (if not the wisest person there is). He can tell you one single line and change your life forever. He has a way of revealing the deepest secrets of life in the simplest possible way.

SoulKids Mentor Training is life changing. It makes you a better person and a great parent. It goes to the deepest corners of your soul, it makes you re-evaluate your mindset, conditioning, limiting beliefs, it helps you build up self-esteem and it gives you the tools for creating your own success and happiness.

The training first supports you as a person, and only afterwards gives you the proper instruments for teaching the program to children.

A SoulKids Mentor is inspirational, we don’t only teach children, we inspire them. We walk the talk and apply the lessons to our own life first. This is why this program is so powerful, it speaks to children’s souls, not only their minds.

And the most interesting part is that all of this happens while having lots of fun, through games and stories. Children, and adults learn best when they have fun and interact.

I became a SoulKids Mentor in May 2016 and since then I have been assisting Vidhya, the SoulKids Program Manager, in all the programs organised by SoulKids Academy.

There is no bigger reward than to see happiness and joy in the eyes of the children listening to you telling them stories.

We can see children changing from the moment they come through the door.

They enter SoulKids Academy not knowing what to expect. At first they may be a bit shy and do not interact a lot, but by the end of the program they are very excited and confident.

When they meet up with their parents again they jump around trying to tell pieces of the stories they learnt. A wonderful experience for me is the hugs that the children give as they leave, they hug with their whole hearts. It is so fulfilling.

What can be more rewarding than to read their testimonials: “SoulKids helped me overcome my fears” or “SoulKids made me more confident” or “SoulKids is awesome”?

All the children who attended our programs are special and unique. Not only did the children learn from us, but we learnt a lot from them as well. Every single program I conducted as a Mentor made me more confident and taught me valuable lessons.

SoulKids empowers children with skills for a happy and successful life: having an open mind, positive thinking, focus, persistence, having a vision, how to manage bullies, fear and negative people.

Looking back I feel so blessed for having been given this opportunity.

I have loved every minute of it and now I am leaving Singapore and am ready to take it home to Romania.

Thank you Sally, Vikas and Vidhya for supporting and encouraging me all the way, I’ll be forever grateful to you.

I end my story encouraging all the parents to gift their children the SoulKids experience.

It gives them the power to lead their best life.

My Spiritual Journey

Every one of us is born with a purpose and when we look back and connect the dots it’s easy to see that at any moment we are being guided forwards, however we do not always have the eyes to see.

 

I achieved my business success early in my career through a lot of dedication and effort and it was when I was literally shining bright near the top of the corporate ladder that my foundations were shaken.

 

I remember the moment vividly. I was managing a large Boots store with over 400 staff, we had smashed our X-mas targets, broken all records and there was still a week to go before X-mas.

 

I was celebrating the huge success with one of my managers when my telephone rang and the news I never expected to hear came to me.

My mother had died suddenly at the age of 60.

 

My world literally stopped.

 

What had seemed so important in the external world was suddenly nothing at all.

 

It no longer had relevance.

 

Here I was with all the externals of life, but what use were they when you receive news like this?

 

This moment was key in my Spiritual evolution.

 

I realized that we have no control over the external world and also in that moment I had no control over my inner world either.

 

I felt helpless, lost, confused and empty.

 

The following weeks and months seemed unreal and without meaning.

 

My reality and life had changed.

 

The Universe then took over and opportunities arose which I accepted.

 

I moved to Asia to open a chain of retail stores and later opened an Orphanage.

 

Whilst doing the work for the Orphanage I had a realization that people could heal themselves without any access to western medicine.

 

As a Pharmacist, this intrigued me and so I went on a search to learn alternative ways to heal.

 

I studied Reiki, Feng Shui, Meditation, Color Medicine, and Mind-Body connections.

 

I sought out great teachers and eventually I met Vikas Malkani.

 

The rest as they say is history.

 

The universe brought us together and obviously had greater plans for us.

 

We combined our strengths, created SoulCentre and SoulKids and many years later became man and wife J

 

Meeting Vikas has been a gift from the universe to me.

 

On reflection had my mother been alive, I doubt I would have left the UK as we were very close. It was truly a key piece in my jigsaw of life. It was painful, however it moved me forwards to something I would not have done before.

 

Sometimes life throws us a curve ball.

 

Something we did not expect to happen.

 

It’s painful, it knocks us off our feet and in that moment our world seems to fall apart completely.

 

However, I believe that if you trust the universe and follow its signs, then everything that happens to us happens for a reason. The picture of your life starts to unfold.

 

If you have the courage to follow the signs then one step leads to another and before you know it life takes on a totally new meaning.

 

I now live my life knowing that I have the inner skills needed so that no matter what happens to me in life, I am able to handle it.

 

I know to celebrate the good times and to be aware that negatives in life will also happen.

 

I have learnt to count my blessings and to look for the good in every situation.

 

I have learnt that everything is temporary and soon will pass away.

 

I have learnt to be true to my heart, to be authentic and to simply give my best.

 

I have learnt to focus my time, energy and effort on the things that truly matter in life and to stay away from dramas :)

 

I have learnt that we have one life, so live it fully and leave the world a better place because of it.

 

Sally conducts one on one sessions with clients and supports them to find their life purpose.

 

She does key note speeches on various inspirational subjects “How to find your purpose”, “How to get the best from life” and various Feng Shui topics.

 

Sally is also a Business Coach and Mentor.

 

My Journey as a SoulKids Mentor...

After going through a particularly challenging time with health, I enrolled in a ‘Meditation Made Simple’ class in London. Eventually, I found myself travelling to Singapore to continue my learning in meditation with Vikas Malkani the founder of this program as it had such a profound effect on my life. 

During my training with Vikas & Sally at SoulCentre, for the first time I understood the importance of silence, living in the now, connection to the senses, breath and self-awareness. I also learned how to manifest, about frequency vibrations and the corresponding emotions of love, gratitude and joy. 

Karma, compassion and the ego were topics of particular fascination. It was quite revelatory to discover that we are all consciously connected and that we create our own reality. It was also quite astounding to learn that the universe is a hologram and that a change in one place is an instantaneous change everywhere.

While in Singapore I also undertook SoulKids Mentor Training to be trained as a mentor in the SoulKids self-confidence workshop. This training and hands on experience with children ages 5 through 11 reminded me of the wonder, curiosity, creativity and individual uniqueness of each of them.

How lovely to see a shy and troubled child open like a beautiful flower. During the SoulKids training for children, the hugs, games and lessons went of for 2 days but have forever changed the way I see people and life. Each of us has a unique purpose on this planet. Through conditioning, we begin to doubt and fear who we really are. We develop blocks and begin to subconsciously create negative elements in our life and in the world. 

Upon returning to London from Singapore, I found that I was much changed. I would spontaneously fall into awe when looking out of the window at the wonder and beauty of nature. I had absolute clarity about my life and my path. I became unbelievably sensitive to all stimuli, artificial and natural. My food choices changed and I could no longer drink caffeine and alcohol. In addition, I only see people from their energy vibration, not their physicality or intellect.

I am full of compassion and love for humanity and plan to spend each day left to me fulfilling my purpose to help others.
